Which vivo Phones Have 6000mAh Batteries or Larger?
A few years ago, 5,000mAh was the number that made people look twice at a spec sheet. vivo has moved the goalposts since then, and quickly. GSMArena’s V60 review lays out the progression plainly: the V40 shipped with 5,500mAh, the V50 with 6,000mAh, and the V60 with 6,500mAh. Three generations, three increases in capacity, without a dramatic increase in thickness on the V60.
That last part matters. The usual trade-off with a big battery is thickness and weight, but the V60 comes in at 7.53mm and 192g in its Mist Gray version, according to GSMArena’s launch coverage. A phone with this much capacity used to feel like a power bank with a screen attached.
So which vivo phones clear the 6,000mAh line? Quite a few, across every price level. This guide sorts them by battery size, flags the ones you’re most likely to meet in Nigerian shops, and points out the spec traps that put different batteries in phones with nearly identical names.
A note on method: this is a research-based guide built from GSMArena spec pages, vivo’s launch announcements and launch coverage. Nothing here comes from personal battery testing. The “Verified against” column in each table tells you where a figure came from.
The 6,000mAh tier
This is where vivo’s big-battery run started on the V and X series, and where one foldable sits too. Capacity is the same across the group. Charging speed, price and what you give up are not.
| Phone | Battery | Wired charging | Verified against | The catch |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| vivo V50 | 6,000mAh | 90W | GSMArena | None worth flagging |
| vivo Y400 5G | 6,000mAh | 90W | GSMArena spec page | The 4G Y400 is a different phone with a different cell |
| vivo X200 Pro | 6,000mAh | 90W | GSMArena spec page | Austria, Hungary and Germany get a 5,200mAh version |
| vivo X200 Ultra | 6,000mAh | 90W | GSMArena review | Launched in China first |
| vivo X Fold5 | 6,000mAh | 80W | GSMArena review, vivo Philippines spec page | Foldable, flagship pricing |
The V50 is the model that started the conversation for most buyers, and we’ve covered its endurance separately in our vivo V50 battery life breakdown. If you’re deciding whether 6,000mAh is already enough for your day, start there. To see how these numbers compare with other brands, our best battery life phones of 2026–2027 roundup puts them side by side.
The 6,500mAh tier
This tier holds the most variety. It runs from a budget Y-series handset up to the V60, which is arguably the most balanced phone on this page.

| Phone | Battery | Wired charging | Verified against | The catch |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| vivo V60 | 6,500mAh | 90W | GSMArena review | None worth flagging |
| vivo V60 Lite 5G | 6,500mAh | 90W | GSMArena spec page | Sold alongside a 4G V60 Lite |
| vivo V60 Lite 4G | 6,500mAh | Check the variant | Retailer listings | Listings disagree on 80W vs 90W |
| vivo Y31 5G | 6,500mAh | 44W | GSMArena launch coverage | Entry-level performance |
| vivo Y31 Pro 5G | 6,500mAh | 44W | GSMArena launch coverage | Only IP64, versus IP68/IP69 on the Y31 5G |
| vivo Y29 4G | 6,500mAh | 44W | GSMArena launch coverage | The Y29 5G has a smaller battery |
| vivo X300 FE | 6,500mAh | 90W | India launch coverage | Flagship price |
GSMArena’s lab figure for the V60 is an active use score of almost 16 hours, which it describes as excellent. The same review notes that vivo’s battery scores have stayed roughly flat even as capacity climbed, a useful reminder that mAh alone doesn’t decide how long a phone lasts.
The Y29 trap
This one costs people money. GSMArena reports that the Y29 launched with a 5G chipset and a 5,500mAh battery, then picked up a second, 4G-only version with a 6,500mAh cell and 44W charging. Same name, same body shape, a thousand milliamp-hours apart.
If long battery life is the reason you’re buying, check the full model name, including the 4G or 5G suffix, on the box or the retailer page before paying. “Y29” on its own tells you nothing. I couldn’t confirm which version Nigerian retailers stock, so don’t assume the 6,500mAh one is what’s on the shelf. Ask the seller to show you the model name and the battery figure.
The budget pick that surprises people
The Y31 5G is one budget-oriented option in this tier, with a 6,500mAh cell and 44W charging. It launched at around $170 for the 4GB/128GB version and carries an IP68/IP69 rating, which is unusual at that price. Its bigger sibling, the Y31 Pro 5G, uses the same battery but drops to IP64 and swaps in a Dimensity 7300 chip. For a buyer who cares more about stamina than speed, the cheaper one is the tougher of the two.

If you’re comparing options in the lower mid-range, our guide to vivo phones in the $200–$300 range explains what else is worth weighing besides the battery.
The flagships
The X300 family sits at the top, and the batteries here are bigger than the standard X200 series offered. There’s a big catch, though, and it affects how you read the table.
| Phone | Battery (China) | Battery (Europe) | Wired charging | Verified against |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| vivo X300 | 6,040mAh | 5,360mAh | 90W | Launch coverage |
| vivo X300 Pro | 6,510mAh | 5,440mAh | 90W | GSMArena spec page, launch coverage |
| vivo X300 Ultra | 6,600mAh | 6,600mAh | 100W | Europe and India launch coverage |
Launch coverage of the European rollout reports that the X300 and X300 Pro were sold in Europe with smaller batteries than in China. GSMArena’s X300 Pro spec page lists the same split, 6,510mAh for the global model and 5,440mAh for EU markets. The X200 Pro had a similar split for Austria, Hungary and Germany.
What I couldn’t confirm is the figure for Nigeria or other non-EU markets. GSMArena’s page implies 6,510mAh outside Europe, but it’s not a guarantee for any specific retailer’s stock. Check the spec sheet for the exact variant you’re buying, and ask the seller to show it on the box or in the phone’s settings.
Above 7,000mAh
vivo has also gone well past 6,500mAh. These phones were launched in India, and I haven’t seen them on vivo Nigeria’s site. They’re here so you know where the ceiling is.
| Phone | Battery | Wired charging | Market | Verified against |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| vivo T5x 5G | 7,200mAh | Not checked | India | Launch coverage |
| vivo Y51 Pro 5G | 7,200mAh | Not checked | India | Launch coverage |
| vivo T5 Pro 5G | 9,020mAh | 90W | India | Multiple India launch reports |
The T5 Pro’s 9,020mAh figure appears consistently across Indian launch coverage, along with vivo’s claim that it’s the slimmest phone to house a battery that large at 8.25mm. That’s a manufacturer claim, repeated by outlets, not something independently measured.
Does a bigger battery always win?
No. Capacity is one input. The chip’s efficiency, the screen and your signal strength all push the result around, and the GSMArena X300 Pro figures show it: the European model’s 5,440mAh cell and the rest of its hardware earned a 12:45h active use score, well behind its predecessor’s 15:09h, though that comparison mixes a different chip and capacity.
Cross-platform comparisons get messier still. Apple doesn’t publish battery capacity, which is why our iPhone 18 Pro vs iPhone 17 comparison focuses on what changed rather than leaning on mAh. Google takes a different approach again, and our Pixel 10 vs Pixel 10 Pro camera and battery comparison shows how it balances the two.
One more wrinkle: advertised capacity is the typical figure. vivo’s own X Fold5 spec page, for example, lists 6,000mAh typical and 5,815mAh rated. That’s normal across the industry, but it means two phones with the same headline number aren’t guaranteed to match exactly.
Charging speed is the other half of the story. A 6,500mAh phone on 44W takes longer to fill than a 6,500mAh phone on 90W, and in a country where power cuts shape the day, that gap matters more than most spec sheets admit.
Which one should you look at?
Rather than crown a single winner, here’s how the options break down by what you care about:
- For a budget-oriented big battery: Y31 5G. Large cell, tough build, modest performance.
- For battery and cameras together: V60. A 6,500mAh cell, a telephoto camera and a slim body. vivo Nigeria’s site shows a V60 product page, but check stock with an authorised retailer.
- For a flagship with a big cell: X300 Pro, once you’ve confirmed the battery on the version you’re buying.
- For a smaller flagship: X300 or X300 FE, which keep 6,000mAh-plus cells in a more compact body.
FAQ
Which vivo phone has the biggest battery?
Among the phones listed here, the vivo T5 Pro 5G is the largest at 9,020mAh, but it’s an India model. Of the phones vivo Nigeria lists, the V60 and the V60 Lite range at 6,500mAh are the largest I could confirm. The site shows separate V60 Lite and V60 Lite 5G pages, and I couldn’t confirm exactly which variants retailers stock. Among flagships, the X300 Ultra’s 6,600mAh is the biggest, and launch coverage reports the same capacity in China, Europe and India.
Is the vivo Y29 a 6,500mAh phone?
Only the 4G version is. GSMArena lists the Y29 5G at 5,500mAh. Check the full model name before buying.
Does a 6,000mAh battery last two days?
It depends on how you use the phone. Heavy gaming, video and hotspot use will drain even a big battery in a day. Light users can stretch it further. GSMArena’s lab test of the 6,500mAh V60 landed at almost 16 hours of active use, which is strong but not two days of hard use.
Does a bigger battery mean slower charging?
Not automatically. Charging speed depends on the charger and the phone’s charging hardware, not the capacity. The Y31 5G pairs 6,500mAh with 44W, while the V60 pairs the same capacity with 90W.
Can the same vivo phone have a different battery in different countries?
Yes. The X300 and X300 Pro have smaller batteries in Europe than in China, and the X200 Pro had a smaller version for three European markets. For any flagship, check the exact regional spec before you buy.
Are these phones available in Nigeria?
vivo Nigeria’s website lists the V60, V60 Lite, V60 Lite 5G, Y31 5G and Y29, among others, at the time of writing. The Y29 page doesn’t make clear which version it refers to. An official product page doesn’t prove a phone is in stock at a given retailer, and the India-only T-series isn’t part of that lineup. Check with an authorised retailer.
