1. What Information Do We Collect?

We collect only the minimum information needed to run the site.

Automatically Collected Data

• IP address (may be anonymized depending on your region)
• Device type, operating system, and browser
• Pages viewed, time spent, and referral source
• Advertising identifiers (Google AdSense cookies, if ads are active)

Comments

• ReviByte has an anonymous comment system. When you leave a comment, we collect your chosen display name and comment text only.
• No account, email address, or personal identity is required to comment.
• Comments are stored via Supabase. Your display name and comment text are visible publicly on the post.
• We reserve the right to remove comments that violate our Terms and Conditions.

Push Notifications (Optional)

• If you click "Allow" on our push notification prompt, OneSignal stores your browser token to send you alerts when new posts are published.
• No personal identity (name, email) is collected for this.
• You can unsubscribe from notifications at any time through your browser settings.

Heliara AI

• When you use Heliara AI, your messages are sent to Groq's API for processing. Groq may log requests per their own privacy policy.
• ReviByte does not store your Heliara AI conversation history on any server.
• Chat history exists only in your browser session memory and is cleared when you close or refresh the page.
• Do not share sensitive personal information (passwords, financial details, ID numbers) with Heliara AI.

ReviByte Tools

• ReviByte Tools (such as the Image Compressor) run entirely in your browser using client-side processing. Your files are never uploaded to ReviByte's servers or any third-party API.
• We do not see, store, or have access to any file you process using ReviByte Tools.

• Amazon Associates — Affiliate program. Some links on this site are affiliate links. We earn a small commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. (learn more)
• Supabase — Anonymous comment storage. Display names and comment text are stored. No personal identity or account is required. (privacy policy)
• Groq — AI inference for Heliara AI. Your chat messages are processed by Groq's servers. ReviByte does not store chat data. (privacy policy)
• Microsoft Store / PWABuilder — ReviByte is listed as a Progressive Web App on the Microsoft Store.

"Our earlier TikTok/Instagram downloader tools have been shut down. ReviByte Tools now consists of lightweight, browser-based utilities that never transmit your files anywhere." Note: ReviByte Tools no longer uses any third-party media API. Earlier tools that relied on RapidAPI have been retired, and ReviByte Tools now processes everything locally in your browser.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location (EU, UK, California, etc.), you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request corrections or deletion
• Receive a copy of your data (portability)
• Opt out of personalized advertising
• Request removal of a comment you posted
• Unsubscribe from push notifications via your browser settings

7. Children's Privacy

ReviByte is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Gaming content on this site (COD Mobile, eFootball, PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends Bang Bang) is intended for general audiences and does not target minors. Heliara AI and ReviByte Tools are also not intended for users under 13.

8. Data Retention

• Analytics data: up to 26 months
• Push notification tokens: retained until you unsubscribe
• Comments: retained indefinitely unless you request deletion
• Emails/messages: kept only as long as needed
• Ad data: controlled by Google
• Heliara AI chat messages: not stored by ReviByte — session only
• ReviByte Tools files: never transmitted or stored — processed entirely in your browser

9. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, Cloudflare security headers and DDoS protection, and rely on secure third-party platforms to protect any stored data. No sensitive personal data is stored on ReviByte's servers. Heliara AI's API endpoint is server-side only — API keys are never exposed to the browser. ReviByte Tools process files entirely client-side, so no file data ever reaches a server.

We'll update this page if anything changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
