Best Heroes in Mobile Legends 2026 — Complete Tier List

Let me be real with you — picking heroes in MLBB without checking the current meta first is basically gambling. You could queue with Alucard and wonder why you keep losing, not knowing he’s been sitting in C tier for months while Sora is out there eating entire teams for breakfast.

This tier list covers Season 40 (Patch 2.1.67), which is what’s live as of June 2026. I’ve gone through ranked data, pick/ban trends, and pro play patterns to put this together. Whether you’re in Epic grinding toward Legend or already in Mythic trying not to fall back — this is your reference.

How This Tier List Works

Before the table, here’s what the tiers actually mean in plain terms:

Best Heroes by Role — Breakdown

Fighter (EXP Lane + Jungle)

Fighters are running this meta hard. The EXP lane is one of the most impactful lanes right now, and if you’re not sending a strong fighter there, you’re basically giving the enemy free tempo.

Sora is the name everyone’s talking about. She can play burst damage or flip into a tanky crowd control machine depending on how the game is going — that kind of flexibility at S tier is rare. Guinevere is another one. If the enemy team has no proper interrupt or anti-burst tank, she will just delete people off the map in two skills. Sun doesn’t get talked about enough at high ranks, but split-push pressure is a real win condition in the current patch, and he applies it better than almost anyone.

For jungle, Suyou is legitimately feared right now. Pro players have been picking and banning him consistently, which tells you everything.

Mage (Mid Lane)

The mid lane went through a rough patch earlier in Season 40 after the mage overhaul, but it’s settled now and the picks are clearer.

Zetian is the zone control queen of the mid lane. She doesn’t rely on catching people out — she just makes areas of the map unlivable during objectives. Lord and Turtle fights are basically hers. Zhuxin punishes clustered enemies brutally; her Fluttering Grace displacement ability into a Sky Piercer execute is one of the nastiest kill combos in the game right now.

If you’re willing to invest time into a skill-shot heavy hero, Gord is quietly one of the highest win rate heroes in the entire game. Most players don’t take him seriously, which is exactly why he works.

Pharsa and Yve are your A-tier picks if you prefer safety and objective influence over straight burst. Both are strong in team fights and force enemies to play around your positioning instead of the other way around.

Tank (Roamer + EXP Lane)

Sustain tanks are winning right now. With anti-heal items getting nerfed in a recent patch, heroes that regenerate health during fights became a lot harder to punish.

Gloo is the best roamer in the game right now. Post-revamp he became one of the most annoying heroes to deal with — he sticks to you, disrupts the backline, and keeps your carries alive by just being in the way. Uranus is the anti-dive answer: the more you hit him, the healthier he gets. Enemy teams that rely on sustained damage into him essentially heal him for free.

Baxia is excellent in the current meta specifically because of his passive that reduces enemy HP regeneration — useful when the enemy also happens to be running sustain heroes.

Marksman (Gold Lane)

The Gold Lane got a durability and mana cost overhaul in Patch 2.1.67, which reset some of the power rankings here, but the top picks stayed at the top.

Ixia is your go-to consistent carry. She doesn’t have the highest ceiling but she’s forgiving and outputs steady damage in fights without needing perfect setup. Hanabi scales harder late game and is excellent in compositions with crowd control heavy frontlines — her passive bouncing attacks shred grouped enemies.

Granger remains strong for players who can handle his reload mechanics and want early-game pressure, while Kimmy is the hybrid pick — she can go Gold Lane or Mid Lane and brings unique sustained damage-while-moving capabilities that most marksmen can’t replicate.

If you’re playing solo queue, avoid Obsidia and Beatrix unless you’ve genuinely put in lab hours. Their ceilings are high but their floors will destroy your rank.

Assassin (Jungle)

Suyou is the standout and has been consistently targeted in ban phases at Legend and Mythic since his rise in Season 40. Julian is the reliable midground — strong damage without the mechanical gatekeeping of Fanny or Ling, but still capable of carrying when ahead.

Fanny and Ling are the flashy options. High risk, high reward. If you’re diamond-caliber on these heroes, they’re absolutely S-tier in your hands. If you’re still learning the cable mechanics or the ceiling waltz on Ling, keep them in ARAM for now.

Support (Roamer)

Diggie is the most impactful support pick right now because his passive immunity to crowd control makes him invaluable in comps that rely on locking down enemies. Enemy Eudora or Tigreal about to chain CC your carry? Diggie just says no. Floryn is the healing bot that keeps carries alive longer than they should be — particularly strong when paired with glass cannon marksmen who need babysitting.

Kaja and Mathilda are your picks when you want a support that can also be a threat — both can isolate enemies, roam aggressively, and change the tempo of the game beyond just healing.

Beginner-Friendly Picks by Role

If you’re newer to the game or just picking up a role, these heroes are strong enough to win games and forgiving enough to learn on:

RoleRecommended StarterWhy
FighterChouReliable mobility, good damage, teaches positioning
MagePharsaSafe range, clear teamfight contribution
TankTigrealSimple combo, strong CC, teaches roaming
MarksmanIxiaConsistent output, low mechanical ceiling to start
AssassinJulianStrong damage without needing one-shot mechanics
SupportEstesPure healing support that’s hard to play badly

Heroes to Avoid in Ranked Right Now

Some heroes are genuinely just not there in the current meta. Not because they’re terrible people, but because better options exist in almost every scenario.

HeroRoleWhy They’re Struggling
AlucardFighterOutscaled and kited too easily in current meta
ZilongFighterNo reliable CC, falls off against tanky comps
AldousFighterStack-dependent, punishable early game
LaylaMarksmanNo mobility, easiest marksman to dive
MiyaMarksmanLacks the early agency the meta demands
GrockTankOutclassed by mobile tank options

FAQ — Mobile Legends Tier List 2026

Q: Who is the strongest hero in MLBB right now?
Based on Season 40 meta, Sora (Fighter), Gloo (Tank), Zetian (Mage), and Ixia (Marksman) are among the most consistently strong picks across all rank brackets.

Q: Is Fanny still good in 2026?
Yes, but she’s skill-dependent. In the hands of someone who has genuinely mastered the cable mechanics, she’s S-tier. For most players, Julian or Hayabusa is a safer assassin pick that still carries.

Q: What hero should I main for solo queue?
Fighter or Assassin roles give you the most map impact in solo queue. Sora, Guinevere, and Julian are all excellent solo queue carries right now. Avoid support roles unless you have reliable duo partners.

Q: Does this tier list apply to Classic mode too?
Mostly yes, though Classic is less punishing — you can get away with C-tier and D-tier picks more easily. For ranked specifically, stick to A-tier and above while you’re building your pool.

Q: How often does the meta shift in MLBB?
Moonton pushes balance patches fairly regularly. Major tier shifts happen every 1–2 months. This list reflects Patch 2.1.67 (June 2026), so check back when the next patch drops.

Q: Are new heroes always overpowered at launch?
Often, yes — Moonton tends to launch heroes slightly overtuned to drive purchases, then nerf them in subsequent patches. Suyou is a recent example of a hero who arrived strong and stayed strong. Playing new heroes in the first few weeks of release can be advantageous.

Final Thoughts

The meta in Season 40 rewards fighters and tanks who can sustain through fights, assassins with mobility, and mages with objective presence. Pure burst-and-die heroes are struggling because the item changes have made everyone a little more durable.

Build your hero pool around two to three roles. In each role, pick one S or A-tier hero and one backup in case your main gets banned. Don’t spread yourself thin trying to master ten heroes — that’s the fastest way to plateau.

If you’ve been sleeping on Sora or haven’t tried Zetian yet this season, that’s where I’d start. Drop your current main in the comments — I’ll tell you if you’re fighting uphill or riding the meta.
